Pastor Nathan Brandt came to serve as Pastor at Living Savior in November of 2002. He has a degree in elementary education, graduating from Concordia Teacher's College in Seward, Nebraska in 1976. He then attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating in the spring of 1980. He has served congregations in Saskatchewan, Iowa and Wyoming. Pastor Brandt is married to Charlotte (Bruns) who is also a Concordia, Seward graduate. She currently teaches at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Beaverton. The Brandts have three children: Emily, Jesse and Micah. Emily lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her two children. Jesse and his wife Kylee live here in the Portland area. Micah is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.
Pastor Phil Alexander graduated from Baldwin-Wallace University in 1971 with a degree in Spanish Language Education. He worked for many years in sales and marketing for Monsanto’s Engineering Thermoplastics Division prior to entering Concordia Seminary in Ft. Wayne, graduating in 1997. He has served churches in Ohio, Florida and New England where he retired in 2016 and moved with wife Cheryl to be near their grandchildren. Pastor Alexander was called to serve Living Savior in 2017 as an assistant pastor. The Alexander’s have three children: James, in Massachusetts, Justin, in Maine, Nicole, in Lake Oswego.
Director of Christian Education, Heidi Frank, is our Minister of Youth & Contemporary Worship, and has been serving at Living Savior since January 2000. She is a 1981 graduate of Concordia University-Portland with a Director of Christian Education (DCE) Degree. Over the past 30+ years, Heidi has served congregations in Washington, Minnesota, Missouri and Oregon. Heidi married her husband, Paul, also a Concordia-Portland graduate, in 2000. They have two married daughters and one granddaughter. Heidi enjoys singing, playing guitar, the great outdoors, and family get-togethers.
